A PASSPORT TO EUROPE



It's the second smallest continent in the world after Oceania.
Europe stretches all the way from the Arctic in the north to the Mediterranean Sea in the south, and from the Atlantic Ocean in the west to the Ural Mountains in the east. 



Europe has got a very different reliefs.
The mountainous systems located to the north have rounded and eroded shapes. These mountains  are not very high.
The mountainous systems located to the south are high and  are close to the Mediterranean Sea .
Europe is a continent with great plains. It has got an extensive coastline.
This continent has got two oceans:

  • The Glacial Arctic Ocean (north)
  • The Atlantic Ocean (west).




THE MOUNTAINS IN EUROPE

Mount Elbrus (5642m)  is the tallest mountain in Europe.It is found in the Caucasus Mountain.
Mount Blanc (4810m) is the tallest mountain in the Alps. It is between France and Italy.
Mount Teide (3718m) is the tallest mountain in Spain.

Other mountains : Scandinavian mountains -The highest peak is the Galdhopiggen.
Ural mountains-The highest peak is the Narodnaya
Carpathian Mountains-The highest peak is Gernachov.
Balkans- The highest peak is the Musala.


Apennine Mountains-The highest peak is the Gran Sasso.
Pirineos- The highest peak is Aneto.
