HEALTHY HABITS : FOOD

FOOD AND DRINKS    

Food contains the nutrients we need to live. The main nutrients are : carbohydrates, proteins, minerals, vitamins and fats and fiber.
Our body uses carbohydrates to get energy.
Our body uses proteins. They are good to repair body structures.
Our body needs minerals like calcium. It is milk products.
Our body needs vitamins. They are good for our health.
Our body needs fats. They give us energy.
What do nutrients do?
--------------------------------Nutrients have many different funtions in our body. 
We need to eat at least five meals every day:
  • Breakfast
  • A mid-morning snack
  • Lunch
  • A mid-afeternoon
  • Dinner.
